The hostage (homer in Greek) is the one who has been entrapped and against
his will, is heading to another place than the one to which he was supposed to
travel to (e.g. hijack).
The fact that the name of the writer of the two legends, Iliad and Odyssey, both
of which haven’t either been desymbolised correctly is also ‘Homer’ is not at
all accidental.
Thus, Homer, at first wrote the Iliad, which as the title itself implies had to do
with the Matter (= Yli in Greek). Don’t get yourself troubled by the letter ‘I’
that is different than the letter ‘Y’, because the changes in letters have many
times been imposed by the servants of the Balcksoul one, so that people are
disoriented by reality. In Iliad, it is the matter that is guiding the humans and is
driving them to egoisms, passions, attachments, hatred, and revenge. The protagonists of Iliad were Agamemnon, the fair Helen of Troy, Achilles, Paris,
Hector, Patroclus, and others.
Following Iliad, Homer wrote the Odyssey, because in Odyssey the hero under
great difficulties, manages to overcome the tripping of the matter, just like the
soul passes through a huge number of ordeals with reincarnations in the world
of matter, in order to finally reach the ‘know thyself’ and return to the Creator.
Just in the same way, Odyssey returned back to his country, since nothing
could stand in his way, because he knew which his goal was: Ithaca symbolises

the Creator and Penelope symbolises the soul. He lost all his companions during his return towards the Creator, in the exact way that someone who is spiritually evolving perceives his fellow men being lost into the attachments of the
matter.
